Laredo is infamous for smuggling traffic, just because of the volume. Is everything above board?
Express World Trade, Inc. is a member of two coalitions specifically designed to combat smuggling. One is the Business Anti-Smuggling Coalition, which has the support of the US Customs Office and is a cooperative of small businesses dedicated to stopping narcotics traffic on their shipments. The other is the Customs-Trade Partnership against Terrorism (C-PTAT), which is an association to which more than 9,000 businesses are currently members. Since the program’s birth in 2001, C-PTAT has provided a number of benefits to businesses who don’t traffic illegal goods.
